For over 40 years promoting and encouraging the private and public study of family history, genealogy, heraldry and local history with particular reference to the nine counties of Ulster.
With nine branches across the North of Ireland, the Society provides a wealth of local knowledge, available to members who may live locally or anywhere else in the world.
Our dedicated Research Centre is packed with transcriptions, records, books and maps, often not found elsewhere. Anyone is welcome to visit the Centre – our friendly and knowledgeable members will give you guidance and help.
The Society is active in DNA testing, with support, education and unique DNA Projects to assist you.
Whether you are new to genealogy, or an experienced researcher, we invite you to explore our website to find out more about all these activities and to get in touch if you would like further information.
Please note that we are in the process of creating a new website and content that does not appear here can be found by visiting our old website.
